Designing a piece of history requires more than technical precision; it demands an emotional connection to the story being told. These custom-shaped square coins in antique gold encapsulate the plaque's design and inscription, allowing individuals to carry a physical reminder of Bonhoeffer’s legacy. At the center of the coin, a black color-filled area bears the full plaque inscription, framed by raised seals in each corner representing the President of the United States, the Vice President, the Department of State, and the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of American Heritage Abroad. These seals symbolize the collective recognition and respect for Bonhoeffer’s life and contributions.
